parts-draft-2026-09-11-v3 · Historical text, not the current terms. Snapshot of the published policy text immediately before the September 12 update. This archive does not represent missing earlier revisions.
Marketplace terms of use
Used e-moto parts, sold by U.S. individuals.
Draft status and operator
Draft version parts-draft-2026-09-10-v2, September 10, 2026. This private preview does not accept live payments. Before public launch, Riot Racing must identify its operating legal entity, business address, support contacts, effective date, and governing law, and obtain legal review. These draft terms describe the intended service and do not waive mandatory consumer rights.
Who may participate
Users must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. Launch sellers are individuals located in the United States; orders ship to supported U.S. destinations. Dealer inventory, new retail stock, international sales, complete bikes, and local pickup are outside the launch scope.
Marketplace relationship
Independent sellers offer their own used aftermarket parts and original take-offs. Sellers are responsible for lawful ownership, accurate condition and compatibility information, and fulfillment. Riot Racing provides listing, messaging, order, payment, and mediation tools. A listing review is not a mechanical inspection, authenticity certification, warranty, insurance, or guarantee against fraud.
Accounts and orders
Use accurate account information and keep verification codes private. Payment, delivery details, and communications belong in the marketplace. A saved order does not reserve inventory; availability, item price, and shipping charge are checked again when checkout starts. Orders use the price and policy version recorded at purchase.
Content, enforcement, and rights
You retain rights to your original content and permit Riot Racing to host, display, and format it to operate the service. Upload only content you have rights to use. Misleading listings, stolen goods, unsafe products, filter evasion, harassment, and misuse of personal data may result in removal or suspension. Request a review through support. Final liability, warranty, dispute, and jurisdiction provisions require counsel review before live commerce.
Individual seller agreement
Your responsibilities, 9% commission, and delivery-based release of funds.
Acceptance and eligibility
By checking the seller-agreement box and saving your profile, you accept this version of the seller agreement, marketplace terms, privacy policy, and linked shipping, returns, safety, and community policies. The service records your account, agreement version, and acceptance time. Material revisions require renewed acceptance before listing submission or payment onboarding. You must be an adult U.S. individual selling parts you own and may legally transfer.
Used parts only
List used aftermarket components or original parts removed from a bike. New retail inventory and complete bikes are not permitted. Do not list batteries, battery packs, hazardous fluids, counterfeit or recalled goods, stolen parts, or components with structural damage that makes them unsafe. A damaged component is not made acceptable by marking it as-is or for parts.
Condition and compatibility
Describe the exact manufacturer and part model, mounting standards, dimensions, compatible bike models and years, required adapters, included hardware, missing items, usage, repairs, wear, and defects. State unknown facts as unknown. Do not promise universal fitment or original authenticity without a basis. Product-listing screenshots and manufacturer or catalog reference images are allowed when they match the offered part and you have rights to use them. Photos of the actual used item, including damage and mounting surfaces, are recommended. Reference images do not excuse inaccurate condition descriptions or concealment of known defects. A brand or bike-fitment filter is not a compatibility guarantee.
Pricing and shipping commitment
Keep listed inventory available and set the item price and a shipping charge you can honor for supported U.S. destinations. The marketplace commission is 9% of the item price, excluding shipping and tax. You receive item price less commission plus the buyer’s shipping charge, subject to lawful refunds, disputes, and adjustments. You pay packaging and carrier costs upfront. Do not demand additional money after checkout. The proposed dispatch commitment is five business days after confirmed payment; if you cannot meet it, contact support immediately for buyer-approved delay or cancellation and refund as required.
Delivery and funds authorization
You authorize the payment provider and Riot Racing to collect the buyer’s payment and defer transfer of seller proceeds until independently verified delivery to the checkout destination, a 48-hour inspection window, and resolution of open order issues. Seller-entered tracking or a seller claim of delivery is insufficient. An independent staff member records carrier evidence; sellers cannot release their own funds. Bank arrival follows the payment provider’s settlement and payout schedule. The service is not described as escrow and does not guarantee a fixed bank arrival date.
Mediation, refunds, and recovery
Preserve listing, packaging, tracking, and delivery evidence. Respond to a support evidence request within the proposed two-business-day response period or explain why more time is needed. Funds remain on hold during an unresolved issue. Staff review both parties’ evidence and record a resolution; either party may appeal through support. You authorize approved refunds and payment-provider transfer reversals attributable to your sale. If proceeds were already paid, recovery may remain due under the final lawful agreement; Riot Racing will not silently add an undisclosed charge to your bank account. Applicable consumer and payment-provider rights remain intact.
Verification and records
Complete account verification and Stripe identity/bank onboarding before transacting. Keep payment and tax details current with Stripe. Never share bank credentials or identity documents in listings or chat. Public launch requires final tax-reporting allocation, recovery terms, support staffing, and operator details; no real funds move in this preview.
Buyer policy
Check fitment, pay securely, and inspect your used part.
Before purchasing
Review the images, condition, included hardware, model and part number, dimensions, and compatible years. Sellers may use product screenshots or reference images; these do not establish the condition of the individual used part. You may ask for current photos before purchasing. Ask the seller specific questions in the app. Used does not mean refurbished or warrantied. A part listed for a bike family may still require adapters or differ by year. Do not rely on a filter as proof of fitment.
Checkout and shipping
Enter a supported U.S. delivery address in the checkout form. Review item price, shipping, and any applicable tax before paying through marketplace checkout. No local pickup or outside payment is allowed. Availability and price are checked again at checkout. Never send a verification code to the seller.
Receipt and inspection
Photograph packaging and the item on arrival, retain packaging, and compare the item with the listing before installation. Report damage, missing items, non-delivery, or material mismatch through the order promptly. The 48-hour inspection period begins when staff record independently verified delivery. Reported issues prevent payout while reviewed. This period controls payout review; it does not shorten statutory rights or payment-provider dispute rights.
Assistance and limits
Riot Racing reviews buyer and seller evidence under the published resolution process. This preview does not offer insurance, a guaranteed reimbursement program, or an unconditional return promise. Do not install, ride with, modify, or return an apparently unsafe part without appropriate guidance. Qualified installation may be needed for brakes, suspension, steering, wheels, and electrical components.
Fees and seller payouts
9% on the part price. Shipping is passed through to the seller.
Commission
Listing is free in the proposed launch model. Riot Racing earns 9% of the item price, rounded to the nearest cent; no marketplace commission applies to shipping or tax. A $200 part has an $18 commission. With $15 shipping, the seller receives $197 before any approved refund or adjustment and pays the carrier and packaging costs.
Processing and tax
The proposed model covers ordinary card-processing costs from Riot Racing’s commission. Any exceptional charges require clear disclosure and legal review before launch. Sales-tax registration, marketplace-facilitator collection, and reporting obligations must be determined for the operating business. Test checkout currently excludes production tax calculation and is not suitable for live sales.
When funds move
Buyer payment is collected on the platform. No seller transfer is initiated before independently verified delivery plus 48 hours and clearance of open issues. Staff review eligible orders and initiate the separate Stripe Connect transfer. Stripe then pays the seller’s connected bank account according to its requirements and schedule. Verification, settlement, reserves, disputes, or provider restrictions can delay availability. This is deferred marketplace settlement, not a licensed escrow service.
Payment options
The implemented integration uses Stripe Connect Express for bank onboarding and seller payouts. PayPal payouts are not connected. Adding a PayPal button alone would not implement delayed marketplace disbursement; provider approval and a separate integration would be required.
Refunds and adjustments
The current test workflow supports approved full refunds of the item amount and original shipping through the original payment method. It attempts recovery of a prior seller transfer separately so failed recovery does not itself stop a buyer refund request. Partial refunds and exceptional fee allocations require additional implementation. Bank processing times vary. No live funds can be collected in this preview.
Shipping and delivery policy
Tracked U.S. shipping for used parts. No local pickup.
Service area and costs
Sellers and delivery destinations must be in the United States. The launch form supports U.S. states and DC; territories and international destinations are excluded. Sellers must choose a tracked service that serves the exact destination and accepts the item. The listing shipping price must cover the shipment, including Alaska or Hawaii if accepted. Obtain support assistance before a sale if a destination cannot be served; do not seek an extra off-platform payment.
Dispatch and packaging
The proposed dispatch commitment is five business days after confirmed payment. Use suitable packaging, protect sharp or fragile mounting surfaces, secure loose hardware, and comply with carrier rules. Ship only the exact photographed part and included items to the checkout address. Obtain a carrier acceptance scan and retain a receipt. Tracking labels without carrier acceptance do not establish shipment.
Restricted shipments
Battery packs, loose batteries, hazardous fluids, and components containing prohibited dangerous goods are excluded from the launch. Suspension and other components may require carrier-specific preparation; never assume every part is ordinary parcel freight. Do not conceal contents or change the classification to bypass carrier restrictions.
Delays and non-delivery
If a shipment cannot meet the promised dispatch time, staff must contact the buyer with a revised date and the required opportunity to consent or cancel for a refund. Tracking delays, loss, and destination mismatches must be investigated. No funds become eligible just because tracking was submitted or a shipping deadline passed. Carrier automation, delay notices, and label purchase are not connected in the preview.
Delivery verification
An independent staff member checks carrier delivery evidence against the order destination, records the reference and result, and starts a conservative 48-hour inspection window at verification. Sellers and buyers cannot verify delivery in the staff workflow for their own sale. A report puts the order on hold. Carrier insurance or declared-value coverage exists only when actually purchased and remains subject to carrier terms.
Returns, cancellations, and mediation
A documented process for order problems and held funds.
Cancellation
Unpaid orders do not charge a card. Checkout reservations expire with the payment session. After payment, request cancellation through the order report link. Staff confirm whether shipment can be stopped and record the refund decision. A request is not a completed cancellation or refund.
Covered order problems
Report non-delivery, shipping damage, counterfeit concerns, missing included items, or a material difference from the listing promptly. Provide a factual description and preserve photos, packaging, the original listing, and tracking evidence. Fitment errors caused by an inaccurate seller description can be a material mismatch; a buyer choosing a clearly disclosed incompatible part is different. Staff assess the facts of each order.
Mediation and holds
An order report places funds on hold. Staff seek evidence from both parties, with proposed initial review within two business days and a two-business-day evidence response period. The preview does not yet have staffed response guarantees. Staff record a reasoned decision. Closing a report alone does not release funds: all reports must be resolved and payment disputes reconciled before an independent staff member lifts the hold. Either party can request a further review through support.
Returns and change of mind
Used-part sales do not offer discretionary change-of-mind returns under the proposed launch terms unless the parties and marketplace expressly agree. This does not excuse misdescription, non-delivery, unlawful sales, or mandatory rights. For an approved return, staff specify the return destination, safe packaging, tracked method, cost responsibility, and refund conditions before the item is sent. Do not return an unsafe component without carrier acceptance.
Refunds and rights
Approved full refunds return the collected item price and original shipping through the original payment provider. Return-shipping responsibility depends on the resolution and applicable law; it must be communicated before return. The current test implementation does not support partial refunds. The 48-hour inspection period is a payout control, not a waiver of legal or payment-provider rights. Disclose existing bank disputes so duplicate reimbursement can be avoided.
Prohibited items and listings
Used parts only, with clear safety exclusions.
Outside the catalog
No complete bikes, new retail inventory, dealer inventory, services, financing, international listings, battery packs, loose batteries, hazardous fluids, weapons or weapon accessories, ammunition, sexual products, explicit adult content, drugs, drug paraphernalia, tobacco, or vaping products. Original take-offs are permitted only as accurately described used parts.
Ownership and authenticity
No stolen or counterfeit goods, altered or removed identifying numbers, undisclosed ownership claims, or parts the seller cannot legally transfer. Do not use stock photographs to misrepresent the actual used item or claim manufacturer affiliation without authorization.
Safety exclusions
No recalled goods, dangerously worn or cracked structural parts, bent steering or suspension components, defective braking components, fire- or flood-damaged electronics, or other known unsafe products. Labels such as as-is or for parts do not override these exclusions. Check manufacturer and applicable government recall information before listing.
Prohibited content
No outside payment links, contact details intended to bypass the marketplace, harassment, private documents, or content used without permission. Do not evade text filters, conceal prohibited items in photos, or use listings to sell a prohibited item under a different category. Listing text is checked on saving, submission, and publication. Listing text and photos are screened automatically. Listings that pass the required account, content, and AI checks publish without staff approval. Flagged, uncertain, incomplete, or unavailable checks leave listings unpublished so sellers can correct or retry them. Sellers may contact support about a decision; staff can review exceptions. Automated checks can miss problems and do not establish product safety.
Used-parts safety and fitment
Accurate condition and compatibility matter.
Check the exact part
Inspect mounting surfaces, threads, cracks, leaks, corrosion, tire wear, wheel integrity, brake components, electrical connectors, and included hardware as applicable. Sellers must disclose wear, damage, repairs, and known limitations. Ask for missing measurements and compatible years before buying.
Installation
Use manufacturer instructions and a qualified technician where appropriate. Incorrect installation of brakes, suspension, steering, wheels, or electrical components can cause injury. Stop using a component that appears unsafe. Marketplace staff do not certify installation, fitment, or mechanical condition.
Recalls and representations
Check manufacturer and government recall information. Do not sell recalled or prohibited unsafe items. Seller identity verification and listing approval do not establish product safety, authenticity, warranty, or road-use legality. Unsupported certification or performance claims are not allowed.
Account verification and security
Email checks, optional authenticator 2FA, and recovery.
Sign-in and email checks
Public accounts use a one-time email code to register and sign in. Login codes expire after 10 minutes, work only in the requesting browser, can be used once, and have attempt limits. Sign-in sessions last up to 12 hours. When an authenticator is enabled, an authenticator or unused recovery code is also required to sign in and perform sensitive actions. Staff tools always require authenticator protection. Keep access to your mailbox and recovery codes secure; no password is stored by the marketplace. The private staging site can continue to use ChatGPT sign-in.
Authenticator protection
You can add a time-based authenticator after email verification when the secure server configuration is connected. Once enabled, email verification alone cannot authorize sensitive actions. Time-based codes cannot be reused; save the one-time recovery codes shown at activation. Do not share the setup key or recovery codes.
Session controls
The additional verification uses a server-recorded, expiring browser cookie with HttpOnly and SameSite controls and Secure on HTTPS. Clear verification on all browsers from Security if needed, and also sign out of the primary account. Losing all recovery methods requires the final account-provider recovery process; support must not bypass identity verification.
Preview availability
Real email codes require a connected email provider and verified sender. Authenticator secrets require an encrypted server configuration. The interface reports unavailable configuration and does not claim a code was sent when delivery was not accepted by the provider. These services and production security review are launch prerequisites.
Privacy policy
Account, order, message, and verification data.
Controller and status
This is a draft for a private preview. Before public launch Riot Racing must identify the data-controlling legal entity and contact details, applicable rights, retention schedule, and the providers actually used. It is not a representation of universal privacy compliance.
Data collected
Public accounts provide their email address and verify ownership by code. Private staging accounts may use ChatGPT sign-in. It stores public seller profiles, used-part listings and photos, orders and delivery contact details, messages including blocked messages, reports, agreement versions and acceptance times, and administrative actions. Security records include keyed login-code digests, hashed login sessions, browser-bound login challenges, hashed email-verification challenges, attempt counts, expiry, hashed browser-verification tokens and recovery codes, and encrypted authenticator secrets. Stripe handles card and bank information when connected; the marketplace stores provider references.
Use and disclosure
Information operates the marketplace, verifies accounts, supports fulfillment, prevents abuse, resolves disputes, and maintains required records. Seller usernames, display names, profile pictures, biographies, location city/state, and listings are public. Profile pictures are resized and stripped of embedded metadata; removed pictures are no longer publicly linked, though stored copies may remain pending retention cleanup. Shipping addresses are visible to the buyer and authorized staff and shared with the seller after payment for fulfillment. Cloud hosting, email, and payment services process data for their functions. Email codes are sent only to the account email. Moderators can review conversations and reports.
AI listing review
When AI listing checks are enabled, listing descriptions, part details, and uploaded photos are sent to OpenAI to help identify prohibited items, misleading content, and other policy concerns. Account emails, payment records, bank details, and shipping addresses are not deliberately included in that review request. Do not include personal documents, contact details, or other private information in listing text or photos. We store the assessment and related review records for moderation. We request that the provider not store the response for later retrieval; this does not eliminate all provider processing or abuse-monitoring retention. A completed AI result with no concerns can lead to automatic publication after the marketplace validates the account and listing. Other results stay unpublished. Sellers can correct their listing, retry an unavailable check, or contact support about a moderation decision.
Cookies and assets
Essential sign-in and account-verification cookies support security. No advertising pixels or marketing analytics are added by this preview. Sample product photographs are served from this site and are clearly labeled reference images, not actual used listings.
Retention and rights
Use a privacy support request to ask for access, correction, deletion, or information. Identity verification may be required, and financial, dispute, or legal records may need retention. Automated exports, deletion, and scheduled security-record cleanup are not active in this preview; the retention schedule and operating process must be completed before public launch. Do not put identity documents, passwords, bank details, or verification codes in support messages.
Age and changes
The marketplace is for adults 18 and older. Material changes to data use should be communicated as legally required before taking effect. Update this policy when selecting public authentication, shipping, support, or additional analytics providers.
Accessibility and support
Get help with barriers, listings, and orders.
Using the site
The site uses labeled forms, keyboard-operable controls, responsive layouts, and readable contrast. Formal accessibility conformance testing has not been completed. Report barriers through support with the affected page, device, and assistive technology where applicable.
Support availability
The preview support form stores requests for staff review. Before live launch, publish monitored support contacts and an accessible alternative channel and staff the advertised response times. Do not claim a conformance standard until the appropriate audit is complete.
